From California to Texas to Florida, my educational background has prepared me for a career in counseling. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University and continued on to earn my masters of science degree in counseling from California State University, Fullerton. I engaged in clinical work with children, adolescents, and adults in a community mental health clinic. I worked with a diverse population presenting with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, bipolar, schizophrenia, and OCD. My research project considered the role of yoga in therapy and its influence in helping women develop positive body images. After graduating, I pursued a career in the treatment of eating disorders where I gained experience at the residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care at Center for Discovery and Oliver Pyatt Centers.
